The Tradition of Excellence
Founded in 1960, Don Fyfe soon made the Fyfe Homes name synonymous with timeless design and superb quality.
Regular visits to new subdivisions in America kept him abreast of new design trends, such as internal access garages and the inclusion of ensuites, features which we now take for granted. He also appreciated the fact that homes are built, by people, for people to live in and enjoy. Of course he and his team were building in the era before regulation, but builders took pride in their workmanship and used traditional, tried and trusted methods to construct homes of great quality. He was fond of saying "good materials and good workmanship yield a good outcome".
Today we understand that, while regulations are important to create a universal standard, there is no substitute for old-fashioned pride in workmanship and we continue his tradition, by utilising the best in materials and tradesmen.
We believe in paying particular attention to the fabric of the home. This is what we call the base structure. We realise that these hidden components cost money, but we are well aware that a home is a major investment, and it is our responsibility to ensure that it is well-built.
